OUR NEW SAFETY MEASURES
ADAPTING TO
CHANGE
We are really proud to say that throughout the Corona Virus pandemic, we have continued to be open to provide our community with emergency and essential eyecare. Our resident optometrist Naeem provided triage care for several clients with sometimes very serious ocular emergencies.
Our eyewear stylist has rescued a large number of damaged spectacles by replacing frames and sides, fixed glasses on patient’s doorsteps and delivered many glasses that were due to be collected before lockdown along with multiple supplies of contact lenses.

Now we have moved into the amber phase of the NHS long-term recovery plan, we are able to open more appointment spaces for clients on a symptom led basis. We wanted to share with you some of the new safety measures we have in place to reassure you that, not only will your visit to us be an enjoyable one, it will also be a safe one.
SO WHAT'S NEW?
Our existing appointment policy will now be much stricter with appointments also necessary for minor repairs and adjustments. This helps us to implement social distancing, whilst continuing to make the experience of coming to us safe and comfortable.

We have made some changes to the layout of the showroom and the consulting room to ensure social distancing applies.
You’ll notice that there won’t be as many frames on display as well as a 'no touch' policy. Once any pair of frames are tried on by our clients they will be extensively cleaned and returned to the display.

We will be operating a locked door policy to ensure that there are never too many clients in the practice at any one time, making your visit a more private one.

Gloves will be provided on arrival for any clients who would rather not use the hand sanitiser.
Please bring a face covering with you and arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time, just to ensure we have the place spik and span for you.

Please allow at least an hour and a half for your styling and eye examination. All eye examinations will be conducted using our retinal scanner* to give us the best view of the back of the eye, without the need to get so close to you. Full PPE will be worn by the optometrist and we shall also ask you to wear a mask for part of the examination. *chargeable

As much as we love your visit to be a family affair, we now have to be strict on numbers and ask that you only bring a maximum of one person with you for your appointment. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring somebody with you.

Sadly our tea, coffee and Procesco are off the menu for a while but in their place we have a very handy little hand sanitser for you to take away with you!
